We at KFZ Reich offer you all services around maintenance and repair of your engine. Below you will find a short excerpt of our service spectrum.

Crank Shaft

The crank shaft will be grinded to the right repair grade according to the wearing. Furthermore the hardness grade and the fissure ability will be checked thoroughly and carefully by our skilled employees.

Cylinder Block Drillling

In the course of time heavy wearing occures at the invert point of the piston and the repair grade limit will be reached.
In this case we will have to professionally drill the block and install a new box.

Cylinder Dread honing

After the cylinder tread has been finely drilled, the cylinder shape will be honed at a precision of 1/100 mm by our specialists.
Thereby the score marks will be smoothed so the engine does not need a long running-in time.

Valve Seats maintenance

The high grade valve seat rings (of centrifugal casting, steel or sinter metal) will be reworked by a engine lathe and a hard metal cutter to the right seating depth and checked carefully for seal ing of each valves.

Cylinder Head Planing

The cylinder head will be measured most carefully to the permitted tolerance with a straightedge and a feeler.
This work is done in the µm-region!
The cylinder head needs to have a smooth and clean surface.

Piston Rods

The piston rods need to be angled carefully. At great tolerances the pistons can tip over and converse wearing can appear at the piston junk or at the piston shift end.
To avoid this, we will press in new connection rods and drill them to the correct diameter and angle.

Cylinder Gasket Seal Check

The cylinder head will be fitted to a stretch bench and dumped into 80 degrees celcius hot water. Thereby we simulate the running state. With compressed air leaking spots will be revealed.

Flywheel Skimming

The striking surface for the clutch needs to be perfectly smooth. If there appeared score marks, the surface needs to get skimmed.

Final Works

After a longer test run the engine gets cleaned thoroughly again, painted carefully and finished for assembling or shipping.
