Company history

Following well-founded professional training at Mercedes Benz,
Adolf Reich opened a car repair shop in his home town of Kirchheim
in 1979. Today the company has 30 employees and offers a comprehensive,
high-quality service in the commercial vehicles sector,
including an engine machining shop, an axle alignment station
and a body jig bench.

Extension of the workshop building, offices opened
High-quality special machines open up new opportunities in the
field of engine reconditioning (crankshaft grinding, cylinder block boring,
cylinder wall honing, valve seat repairs, cylinder head surface grinding
and leak-tightness testing, connecting rod repairs, flywheel truing)

1991

1993
Christian Reich, the founder’s son, is awarded his master’s certificate
and takes responsibility for managing the company

1997
Extension of the company premises through acquisition of
neighbouring land

1997/98
Enlargement of the workshop building, new jobs created

1998
Christian Reich becomes Managing Director and proprietor of Reich Ges.m.b.H.

2000

Acquisition of a 32-tonne recovery vehicle
Trade is intensified in second-hand vehicles and spare parts in the
commercial vehicles sector

2006
Acquisition of further neighbouring plots of land

2006/07
Opening of a warehouse building (75 x 25 m)
Closure of the rented external warehouse in Riegerting

Extension of the existing workshop building
Equipping of workshop with indoor crane, axle alignment station featuring laser-guided
tools and modern body jig bench

2010
Installation of a new, state-of-the-art brake test bed

2011
Acquisition of another 5000 m² of land
Opening of a new, spacious office building

Completion of the new warehouse building, providing space for even more spare parts

Tractor truck and low-loader replaced

2017
A Mercedes Arocs 4153K is purchased and fitted out as a recovery vehicle – the fifth in the company fleet

2018
Since September 2018 is the company Reich Nutzfahrzeuge GmbH an official service partner of Mercedes Benz Austria. Vans, trucks and Unimogs that still have warranty or have a maintenance contract can be repaired with professional tools without any problems.

2019
The company is in existence since 40 years in Kirchheim. This anniversary is celebrated on 14 September with business friends, customes, suppliers and employees.

2020
Purchase of a property with a company building on it. The company area has doubled.
